Today on ESPN television, They announced the Heisman Trophy Winner to Cam Newton. Cam Newton is a junior Quarterback that plays for the University of Auburn. Prior to winning the Heisman Throphy, Cam has been alleged to have been illegally getting money from his university. In the NCAA, it is against the rule to pay a player to play for a college. Though he is a prolific player on the field, he had a hard time maintaing his life off the field. During his senior year in High School, his father tried to negotiate an under the table contract that would have Cam Newton getting paid.

Though it was against the NCAA rule, Cam Newton had no idea his father was doing such a thing. Luckly the NCAA did not disqualify his chances on winning the highest award in College football; due to a bad judgement call from his father. During the process Cam Newton was all over sports media, saying he’s a liar and a cheater. But in between this non- sense Cam when on to throw,28 touchdowns and finish his junior year season with a 13-0 record. Cam Newton will be facing the Oregon Ducks in Glendale, Arizona for the BCS Championship in early January.

 

TSA !

The TSA has recently put a new machine that would scan the body for harmful weapons.This new machine has become a big controversy,especially when the machine consists of a low dose of radiation (maybe harmful).Another controversy that people are complaining about is the new TSA “Pat Down” rule. The TSA officers now have the right to touch closer to your private areas. Which has left many flight travlers distrubed and violated.

The link above describes the ordeal of a 31 year old man at the American Airlines Terminal in San Diego. While going through security, he turned on his camera phone and recorded the screening process.  He told the screener, “you can pat me down, but don’t touch my junk”. The video is all over the Internet now, with many comments in favor of the traveler. It is shocking how it is okay for the federal government to feel your genitalia and women’s breast, but if someone else touches you or a child in that area, they will consider it to be sexual abuse.

When you come inside the US, you pretty much give up all your Civil Liberties. This is or was based on the American US Constitution…………………………….Not Sure anymore.

Obama in Indonesia

Recently on November 10th Obama payed a visit to Indonesia . A Country where he was once spent most of his childhood. While Visiting The Nations Capital Jakarta, Obama Visited one of the Biggest Mosque in Indonesia, Istiqlal. There he gave a speech about the Muslim culture and how it has impacted the American people and the world.

He then Visited the University of Indonesia where he gave a speech on national Live Television the the people of Indonesia; On topics such as; The Economy, The War on Terroisim, Muslim cultureand of course his childhood days, when he lived in Jakarta.

As an Indonesian Muslim myself this is really great for the Country of Indonesia and the muslim community all over the world. Obama did a great job explaining what needs to be done and what thinks should be changed to help Indonesia; a country that consist of more than 15,000 islands move forward.

I thank Obama for Visiting my country and If I had the I would Show him around .

It brought smiles to my face when he would say Indonesian phrases in between his spechs which made the Indonesain Crowd real happy and comfortable.

Prop 19

For the past 6 months there have been a campaign, to legalize marijuana in the State of California. Proposition 19 represented that act. In this Proposition; Marijuana would become legal to the people of California, to smoke and grow . The legal age for smokeing cannabis would be twenty-one years old. The drug would also be taxed by the the goverment so it would help the economy in California.

I thought voting Yes on Prop 19 would be a great way to help the economy in California. By taxing Marijuana it will help California control the drug and use the funds to rebuild

the lost finances in California.

Eventually Prop 19 did not get passed by the voters of California. But Prop 19 will be sure to be on the ballot in Future years.

I Rise

LeBron James, is a professional basketball player who has accomplished a lot in his seven years in the NBA. He has won: The Rookie of The Year award, two MVP Awards and has been an All Star for six straight years. He is argubaly one of the best, if not the best player in the NBA right now.

During  his seven years as a Cleveland Cavalier they improved from a “non – playoff team” to becoming one of the best teams in the league. With Lebron being from Akron,  Ohio. A small town outside Clevland, Ohio. He became the Hometown Hero. Lebron James become an Icon and Idol too many people not only in the State of Ohio, but the World.

Though Lebron James and his team were considered one of the best in the league they never happened to winning a championship.

After seven years of hard work and dedication Lebron James had the choice to resign with the Caveliers, or move on to another Franchise team. Last Summer when ever the sport of basketball was brought up, Lebron James name was right next to it in the discussion. The Question was ” Where will Lebron James play next season”.

Well after  numerous rumors of where Lebron James would go , he had a one hour show that was televised on ESPN, on where he was decided to play next season. As it came through the wire. Lebron James chose The Miami Heat, due to the fact his two best friends in the league Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh were on the team. Together they would be considered the best team though stats, to win the championship in the next coming seasons to come .

After the word was out that Lebron James would become a Miami Heat next season; fans of other teams became furious calling him a cheater, and not a role model to others. Cleveland fans were heartbroken knowing that the hometown hero wont be on their team anymore.

With this commercial up above shows a man who is not asking for forgiveness but is subliminally saying ” This is my life and this is the choice I chosen”.With that being said  in the video there are flashing effects that catch the attention of the viewers to stay tune to the end; with his witty lines that take punchlines toward critics who gave him negative comments on his move. Also subliminally in the commercial they were promoting Lebron James new Shoes that were part of Nike.

Recently I was watching a documentary of Brazil on the Discovery Channel. The Documentary was based on the daily lives of the Brazillian people. From Farmers to Business men and women, the documentary covers the personal lives of new age Brazillians.

In the segment about a female helicopter pilots.The narrator explained how in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil; helicopters are just an ordinary everyday transportation.

In the city of Sao Paulo four hundred helicopters are in service everyday private and public. Some serve as company owned, and some are considered taxis. In the city every building at least ten stories high, must have a heli pad for helicopters to land and takeoff. The reason flying helicopters are a big transportation in Sao Paulo is because of the horrible traffic that everyday commuters must witness everyday.

This shows how that in a country where fifty percent of the population is poverty, technology is being used to help the country. With the use of helicopters, the overall goal is to clear up traffic jams and make it easy for people to get around the city of Sao Paulo.

In the state of California, the Governor Elections are currently going on. At this moment in the election there are only two candidates left in the race. Jerry Brown who is the Democratic representative and Meg Whitman who is the Conservative representative.

Over the case of this month to month race; Meg Whitman has recently been caught having an illegal immigrant working for her. The reason why this is a big deal in the governor race is .First of all that it is a illegal for an illegal person to be in the United States without a proper Visa. The second reason why this is relevant is because Meg Whitman is a against illegal aliens entering the U.S , but she used to have an illegal alien working for her .

Prior to the elections the illegal alien was asked to resign from working for Meg Whitman a few years ago, so it would not effect her election race.

This topic has brought down Meg Whitmans votes on becoming the future California Governor by 7%.
